While I still question my sexual orientation, a very happy pride month to my fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community

?????????? ?????????? ??????????. This is quite literally the month of rainbows and unicorns. ??.??.- ?? ??????? ???? ???????? ??????? ?????? ??????????????????????????? ???? ????????. But sadly, there is still immense discrimination, invalidation and marginalisation faced by many members of our community. While we face prejudice and discrimination for the rest of the year, let’s pretend LGBTQ+ rights are worth addressing by big brands only during the pride month and appreciate the efforts they are taking to bring in awareness. (?????? ?????????? ??????????????, ???????? ?????? ??????????????.) I often get overwhelmed while talking about this and fail to keep an objective stance so I’ll end this by saying, I acknowledge the struggle for accepting your identity to yourself and in front of society and every conflict that comes with it. It isn’t easy. It has never been easy, And I await the day when a child doesn’t have to be born in a heteronormative society and can choose his own gender identity and sexual orientation without having to think about the social consequences of the same. #pridemonth #pridemonth2023 #queeraffirmativetherapy #queer #lgbtq+ #labtqcommunity #queercommunity #gayrights #ally #support #therapy #counselling #psychology #affirmations #support

Sadly, if you have LGBTQ+ family members or are in a non-traditional family dynamic and don’t have a custom estate plan, the people you love most could find themselves accidentally disinherited from your estate or stuck in a lengthy and expensive court battle

For individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, fear of rejection can be a pervasive and distressing issue. This fear can come from a variety of sources including friends, family, coworkers, and romantic partners. The fear of being rejected for one’s sexual or gender identity can be a significant obstacle to happiness and wellbeing for many in the LGBTQ+ community. One of the most significant fears of rejection faced by LGBTQ+ individuals is coming out to family and friends. While many people hope for acceptance and support, negative reactions can be common. These experiences can be very traumatizing and lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. ?? Lately, I’ve been thinking about the prerequisite for trauma that we expect from LGBTQ+ people. How often have you heard the phrases, „I didn’t choose this”, or „born in the wrong body”? Although these terms can be useful in helping people understand the damage that anti-LGBTQ+ narratives can have (as well as tackling overt homophobia and transphobia), they also have the capacity to cause harm. By expecting someone who may not be heterosexual or cisgender to experience severe distress over their identity, we put that as the key identifier and motivation behind coming out. As allies, it risks making the offer of empathy and support conditional on the level of pain someone is in. On a personal level, we teach that person that they must be experiencing severe discomfort before they seek answers, respect and change. Are we yet at a point where we can allow LGBTQ+ people to identify themselves by what feels good, as opposed to bad? Right now I’m not sure, but I know we need LGBTQ+ joy now more than ever. #LGBTQ #PrideMonth #DEI #DiversityInTheWorkplace

Many LGBTQ+ individuals have experienced rejection from loved ones, including being disowned, shunned, or cut off from family
